So you’ve decided to purchase hosting for your next big dot com business, but times are bit lean so why pay so much? There are plenty of low-cost hosting providers, but here are a few I’ve had good experiences with.
- Dreamhost
- GoDaddy
- Lunar Pages
- Media Temple (Most expensive, but the best customer service I have experienced!)
I am currently using Media Temple to host several of my websites. Their service has been excellent – they have been very responsive when I’ve called and I’ve quickly found what I needed from the support site. I’ve had no real problems, just questions regarding certain applications I needed to configure.
GoDaddy has been a great and economical way to purchase domain names. They too have provided excellent phone support when needed. I have been able to get an actual person on the line in about a minute each time I have called. Additionally, the support people know what they are doing and can get your issue resolved quickly.
I have a friend using Lunar Pages for hosting and he has been very happy with their pricing and performance.
